At The Winery
Itís been a busy Spring and Summer at Vines To Wines. Thanks to all who came and either started batches of wine, or who came and finished their batches by bottling them. I would like to take just a few minutes to discuss aging of you wines that you make here. Most of the wines sold in liquor or food stores, are at least 18 month old before theyíre put on the shelves. Although our wines age faster then most commercial wines, you still need to give your wines time to develop. Being a new business, weíre still learning about this ourselves. I can share with you a couple of examples. Columbia Valley Riesling. Although drinkable at 6 months from itís starting date, a 9 month old bottle is much better than a 7 month old bottle. Valpolicella. Although drinkable at 5 months from itís starting date, an 11 month bottle is much better than a 9 month old bottle. Oregon Pinot Noir. Although drinkable at 7 months from itís starting date, an 11 month bottle is much better than a 9 month old bottle. As we gather more information about the aging of our wines, Iíll include it in future newsletters.

Thank you all for your support, and I look forward to exploring the world of wine with you here at Vines To Wines..

Bye for now,

Eric
